A crew that is from here shows up for more than paying jobs. Here is where Northstone has put its own labor, parts, and time around the valley since 2021, along with two of its best-known local installs.

Farming for the Future Academy

At the Montana Veterans Home farm school in Columbia Falls, Northstone donated labor and parts for an eight-panel array, with materials funded through a Sample Foundation grant. Then the crew designed and taught a solar camp for the kids.

Flathead Valley Earth Day Expo

Northstone was the Signature Sponsor of the fourth annual Citizens’ Climate Lobby expo, held April 18, 2026, at FVCC.

Westland Impact Festival

For Project Winterland’s festival, Northstone and New Use Energy put up a solar pavilion so the event could charge its batteries on sunlight. That work led straight to the arts center project.

O’Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center

Northstone is installing a permanent 44-panel grid-tied array at the Whitefish Theatre Co.’s O’Shaughnessy Center.

ASES National Solar Tour

Northstone coordinated the valley’s first self-guided solar tour, October 2021, part of the American Solar Energy Society’s national tour.

Nelson’s Ace Hardware

The 78-panel array on Nelson’s Ace Hardware in Whitefish went up in 2021 with REAP funding. About 21,000 vehicles pass it every day.

Legacy Bike Park

Northstone installed the panels on the bike park’s shipping-container building in Lakeside. The jump line goes right over them.
